Application of the negative-dimension approach to massless scalar box integrals

We study massless one-loop box integrals by treating the number of space-time dimensions D as a negative integer. We consider integrals with up to three kinematic scales (s, t and either zero or one off-shell legs) and with arbitrary powers of propagators. For box integrals with q kinematic scales (where q = 2 or 3) we immediately obtain a representation of the graph in terms of a finite sum of generalised hypergeometric functions with q − 1 variables, valid for general D. Because the power each propagator is raised to is treated as a parameter, these general expressions are useful in evaluating certain types of two-loop box integrals which are one-loop insertions to one-loop box graphs. We present general expressions for this particular class of two-loop graphs with one off-shell leg, and give explicit representations in terms of polylogarithms in the on-shell case. e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected]

Dimensionally regularized one - loop tensor - integrals with massless internal particles
A set of one-loop vertex and box tensor-integrals with massless internal particles has been obtained directly without any reduction method to scalar-integrals. The results with one or two massive external lines for the vertex integral and zero or one massive external lines for the box integral are shown in this report. Dimensional regularization is employed to treat any soft and collinear (IR) ...
متن کاملDimensionally regulated one − loop box scalar integrals with massless internal lines
Using the Feynman parameter method, we have calculated in an elegant manner a set of one−loop box scalar integrals with massless internal lines, but containing 0, 1, 2, or 3 external massive lines. To treat IR divergences (both soft and collinear), the dimensional regularization method has been employed. The results for these integrals, which appear in the process of evaluating one−loop (N ≥ 5)...

We consider one-loop scalar and tensor integrals with an arbitrary number of external legs relevant for multi-parton processes in massless theories. We present a procedure to reduce N-point scalar functions with generic 4-dimensional external momenta to box integrals in (4 − 2ǫ) dimensions. We derive a formula valid for arbitrary N and give an explicit expression for N = 6. Further a tensor red...

We apply negative dimensional integration method (NDIM) to three outstanding gauges: Feynman, light-cone and Coulomb gauges. Our aim is to show that NDIM is a very suitable technique to deal with loop integrals, being them originated from any gauge choice. In Feynman gauge we perform scalar two-loop four-point massless integrals; in the light-cone gauge we calculate scalar two-loop integrals co...
متن کاملCasimir effects of nano objects in fluctuating scalar and electromagnetic fields: Thermodynamic investigating
Casimir entropy is an important aspect of casimir effect and at the nanoscale is visible. In this paper, we employ the path integral method to obtain a general relation for casimir entropy and internal energy of arbitrary shaped objects in the presence of two, three and four dimension scalar fields and the electromagnetic field. For this purpose, using Lagrangian and based on a perturb...
